Making Your Money go further with sustainable Budgeting

Below are some tips from my wonderful colleagues at APDO.

Right now, we all want our money to go as far as possible.

Interest rates are going up faster than the rate of Prime Ministers and with festive season on the horizon and a new year around the corner, now is the time to get as financially organised as possible!

So today we are sharing some handy tips on some simple organising tricks can help to make your money go further.

1. A lot of people don’t do this but it really helps to review what you are spending to see if there are any costs you can reduce i.e. cancel unused subscriptions, change to a cheaper provider

2. Set yourself a budget and stick to it – such as for birthdays and Christmas and then when going out to shop, stick to it!! For anyone in the back – STICK TO IT!

3. Use Ebay/Facebay/Vinted to sell items that you no longer need or use – let someone else benefit from them whilst earning yourself money.

When it comes to organising your home on a budget why not reuse items:

4. Clear food punnets – keep the plastic food trays from tomatoes, strawberries, etc. and use to store food neatly in the fridge or in cupboards

5. Use Pringles tins – great for storing long pasta – why not cover in wrapping paper to match your colour scheme of your cupboards or kitchen

6. Gift boxes / mobile phone boxes – great to use for sectioning drawers or storing items on shelves

No. 5 is our favourite – what’s yours?
