YouTube Channels to watch on decluttering

Introduction

It’s the middle of winter, the time of year to snuggle up under the duvet with a good book and a pot of tea. It’s also the time for binging on a Netflix Series or rewatching your favourite movie.

Perhaps you want to try something new and learn more about organising and decluttering. Why not check out YouTube for videos on how to become more organised? There are dozens and dozens of YouTube channels talking about productivity, organising, cleaning and minimalism.

Below are my favourite YouTube Channels to watch on decluttering. Let me know what you think:

Declutter Me

Kent-born Shelina, who currently lives and works in Dubai as a professional organiser, created a YouTube channel called Declutter Me, where she talks about all aspects of organising and decluttering. She has videos in a variety of formats. Some are a minute long and show you how to best fold your socks. Others are interviews with fellow organisers, and yet others give you more in-depth organising tips. I specifically like her series on how to fold various items of clothing. Who wouldn’t want to learn more efficient ways of folding and storing your clothing, especially those of us with limited storage space?

Cluttermeister

Cluttermeister is the YouTube channel of Brighton-based professional organiser Tilo Flache. In this channel, Tilo gives us decluttering and life organising tips in small bite-sized videos. Ideal for time-strapped people who want quick tips. Some of his videos offer practical solutions on how to declutter areas of your flat, while other videos are more philosophical musings on clutter and organising.

Ecofried. Lia

On Ecofriend Lia, a young Swiss-born mum living in Germany, gives us videos on all aspects of minimalism, decluttering and intentional living. She mainly focuses on clothing and sustainability. Worth watching if you are looking to reduce the clutter in your clothes and curating a more intentional capsule wardrobe,

How to get your shit together

How to get your shit together is one of my favourite YouTube Channels on organising and decluttering. Laura from Ireland gives us hilarious and engaging videos on all things decluttering and organising. She mainly focuses on Marie Kondo as an organising technique. Good channel if you wish to learn more about applying Marie Kondo’s techniques in your daily life.

Kacy Paidy

Kacy is an American professional organiser who specialises in office decluttering. Her videos give us insights into how to organise and declutter your paperwork—worth a watch for anyone who wishes to get their paperwork under control.

Green and Tidy

Rachel Papworth from Green and Tidy has hundreds of short videos on many aspects of decluttering your home. Her videos are very hands-on and give step-by-step instructions on how to sort various areas of your house.

The above selection is only a tiny sample of the multitude of channels that you can find on this topic. Perhaps you have come across others not mentioned above. Let me know so I can check them out and include them in a later blog post.
