Ever booked tickets for a concert or a trip to go on holiday with your family and not been able to find your ticket on entry? We’ve all been there. You are in good company.
Below are my four tips for storing tickets for safety and ease of access.
1. Google Calendar Attachment
Anyone with a Google or similar electronic calendar can attach their tickets, if they are in PDF format, to an event. Click on the event, then click on Edit (the pen button). From there, press the Google Drive/Add button and attach the relevant document.
Once the day of your event arrives, click on the event and then on the attachment. Simple!
2. Folder in Email
Rather than letting the email with your essential train tickets get lost in your inbox among all the spam, newsletters, and random chatter from friends, why not create a ticket folder?
Even if you have dozens of events to attend and a long list of emails with attachments, having a dedicated folder will help you locate them quickly.
3. Notes App
I use Evernote as my preferred note-taking app, but any note-taking app will suffice, as most have a web clipper or the ability to upload PDFs.
Upload or clip the ticket you want to save and either title it or tag it with the relevant event name. E.g. The Importance of Being Ernest – Oscar Wilde
4. Printing
Worried about the battery dying on you as you try to enter the train? I’ve been there too. Either bring a mobile charger or print your tickets to keep them in your purse.
Which method do you use? Do you have any other tips or tricks to share? Let me know in the comments below.
