Brits love their tea, but for most of us it’s a question of Tetley vs PG Tips: “Brits are drinking over 100 million cups of tea each day” (UK Tea and Infusions Association).
When asked what teas people prefer, the Tea Census found nearly three-quarters of those questioned (74%) drink black tea with or without milk, whilst 55% drink green tea and just under half (47%) also enjoy herbal infusions.
Only 10% drink several cups of green tea a day
While tea drinking in the UK is an everyday occurrence, very few people know much about tea. Can you tell your Darjeeling from your Assam? Do you know that Green tea comes from the same plant as Black tea?
